An airplane from Copenhagen was landing to the place known as the White Island with crystal clear sea, nominated the party capital of Europe, popular and well-liked location of celebrities.. Plenty of various thoughts, rumours and expectations were running through my mind before coming here. After one month of living in St. Eulalia, having daily routine, each day discovering and exploring the island more, I started to build up my own opinion about the life here, in Ibiza. The island is a mixture of open-minded people and hardworkers. Everybody are trying to enjoy, gain and take as much as possible from each day of this season. Additionally, Ibiza’s inhabitants are contstructing a colorful puzzle of nationalities like Germans, Dutch, British and an abundance of other cultures. It makes a really big affection to life in the island, when almost each person that will be met in the street, will have a different backround, life style and way of thinking. Hereby, this makes the third largest land of the Balearic Islands, even more special. Nobody is trying to make an impression of the island as an innocent. Who have seen the movie ”It’s all gone. Pete Tong.” would not be surprised. It is true that probably you would not have a day in Ibiza that the name ”Amnesia”, preparty, new set and many other definitions from clubber’s dictionary would not be spread loudly in the middle of some strangers story or discussion. But definitely not the famous and hedonistic nightlife is making Ibiza so charming. The best thing is the contrast in Ibiza, between crowdy, busy streets, enormous amount of lounge bars, restaurants, cafes, full of excited people, and at the same time having an opportunity to run away from everything to some secluded beach to watch breathtaking sunset and enjoy tranquility. I do not know how about you, but for me, the White Island is the place, which is fullfilling all my expectations and where I would love to come back again and again.
